Powered by Fujifilm's high-performance quad-core X-Processor 4 CPU, the GFX100S utilises its back-illuminated large format CMOS sensor to deliver stunning image quality. The GFX100S imaging sensor is incredibly sensitive to light and is approximately 1.7 times larger than those found in traditional full-frame DSLR and mirrorless cameras. This provides it with a significant advantage over smaller sensors, resulting in images with incredibly shallow depth of field, fantastic dynamic range, true-to-life colour reproduction, and exceptional high-ISO performance.

Featuring 19 exclusive Fujifilm Film Simulation modes, including the new Nostalgic Neg, photographers can achieve incredible colour accuracy straight out of the camera. The Nostalgic Neg, which was inspired by the American New Colour Photography movement of the 1970s, expands the boundaries of photographic creativity through the deliberate use of colour. Its unique tonality adds a soft amber tone to highlights and boosts saturations to shadows, while preserving details, to deliver a lyrical feel to images.

The GFX100S sets a new standard for autofocus performance never before seen in large format photography. Its on-sensor phase detection pixels cover nearly 100% of the imaging sensor, enabling lightning-fast focus acquisition in just 0.18 seconds, even at luminance levels as low as -5.5EV*4. Powered by the X-Processor 4, the camera efficiently utilises an updated focus tracking algorithm for precise subject tracking with the Tracking AF and Face/Eye AF functions.

Compact 5-Axis In-Body Stabilisation that delivers up to 6-stops of Vibration Reduction
The GFX100S features a newly designed in-body image stabilisation (IBIS) system, so photographers can confidently capture stunning handheld images without the need for a tripod. The IBIS mechanism is also 20% smaller and 10% lighter than the unit found in its predecessor, the GFX100. Despite its compact size and lightweight nature, the five-axis system still delivers an impressive 6-stops of image stabilisation, a 0.5-stop improvement over the GFX100.

High-Performance Digital Mirrorless Camera Designed for Ultimate Portability and Durability
With a weight of just 900g (1.9lb) and dimensions of 15cm wide, 10.4cm tall, and 8.7cm deep (5.9in x 4.09in x 3.4in), the GFX100S rivals the size of many full-frame cameras. What sets it apart, however, is its ability to pack in a high-performance IBIS and an impressive 102MP imaging sensor that is almost twice the size of a typical full-frame sensor.

With a redesigned shutter unit and a brand new IBIS unit, the GFX100S takes full advantage of a smaller yet highly efficient lithium-ion battery. As a result, this camera is approximately 6 cm (2.3in) smaller and 500g (1.1lb) lighter than its predecessor, the GFX100, but is still able to maintain the same level of stills and video performance. The reduction in physical size is perfectly balanced by a robust grip that ensures a comfortable and secure hold, which comes in handy during extended shooting sessions.

The GFX100S is built to withstand the toughest conditions. It can operate in temperatures as low as -10°C (14°F) and is both dust and moisture-resistant. Constructed with a magnesium alloy casing, it is purposely denser around the lens mount by 1 mm than the GFX100, providing added support for larger G mount lenses.

Intuitive Controls for Effortless Shooting
The GFX100S features intuitive controls that cater to both new and existing GFX System photographers. With a PASM dial offering six programmable custom options, accessing frequently used settings is quick and seamless. A conveniently located switch next to the mode dial also allows users to switch effortlessly between still and movie mode, while an ergonomic update to the Focus Lever makes choosing a focal point a breeze, ensuring every shot is perfectly focused.

The camera boasts a 3.2-inch LCD monitor on the rear and a 1.8-inch sub LCD monitor on its top plate, which can be customised to display key EXIF settings, such as shutter speed, aperture, ISO sensitivity, and exposure compensation - - and set to display the status of key functions or available capacity on storage media. The rear LCD display is a 2.36-million-dot monitor with 100% coverage and can be tilted in three directions (90° up, 45° down, and 60° right), offering flexibility and convenience for shooting at various angles.

A Cinematic Experience with Smooth 4K30P Video
With its large format imaging sensor, the GFX100S takes videography to new heights. It can record stunning 4K/30p movies with shallow depth-of-field, exceptional high-ISO performance, and wide tonal gradation, offering unmatched image quality. Footage can be recorded at bit rates of 400 Mbps in a variety of different quality levels, from 10-bit 4:2:0 F-log internally to an SD card to 12-bit 4:2:2 ProRes RAW through the HDMI port.

This compact digital mirrorless camera also supports recording 4K footage in various aspect ratios, including the commonly used 16:9 and the digital cinema favourite 17:9. It also offers versatile compression codecs like H.264 and H.265, as well as professional standards like Hybrid Gamma Log (HLG) and F-Log for complete creative control. When compared to common compression codecs, such as H.264, recording footage in F-Log or HLG gives filmmakers much greater flexibility in post-production since it can be edited and colour graded, and luminance, colour saturation, or any other aspect of the image can be adjusted.

For ultimate flexibility in post-production, the GFX100S allows for 4K/30p footage to be recorded in 12-bit RAW via HDMI directly to an Atomos Ninja V Recording Monitor to later be output as ProRes RAW.
This direct-to-monitor recording allows for all decisions about the image to be made after production, in post, free from in-camera processing. Simultaneous output of RAW footage and footage in F-Log or Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG) with a Film Simulation mode applied is also possible, providing endless possibilities for creative expression.
