The Olympus OM System OM-1 boasts a high-end compact, lightweight body, unique to the OM System. It also includes the new 20 Megapixel1 Stacked BSI Live MOS sensor and the most recent TruePic X image processor, which operates at three times the speed of previous models. The OM-1 produces an impressive image quality that surpasses the expectations of the sensor size. It fully capitalises on the high-resolution M.Zuiko Digital lens performance, delivering one of the highest resolutions ever. Furthermore, the introduction of new noise processing technology amplifies the maximum normal sensitivity to ISO 25600, with an extended maximum sensitivity to ISO 102400. The dynamic range has been improved, courtesy of the latest image processing technology. It also integrates the high-tech TruePic X image processor, a new image sensor, and the latest digital technologies to make computational photography features better and even easier to use. • High-resolution shots
The OM-1 considerably reduces the processing time for the 50 MP Handheld High Res Shot, a favourite among landscape photographers for its high-resolution image capturing prowess through image merging. The Tripod High Res Shot takes image quality a bit step further by creating ultra-high-resolution images of approximately 80 megapixels. Composite processing technology reduces noise by about two steps, delivering high pixel count images with minimal noise. A dedicated button is also included in the camera that allows you to effortlessly switch between normal shooting and Handheld High-Res Shot/Tripod High Res Shot, enhancing usability.
• Live ND: The Art of Slow Shutter Speed
Achieve the slow shutter speed effects similar to using an ND filter up to ND64 (6 steps) (ND2 - ND64). With LV Simulation activated, previsualize the slow shutter speed effects in the viewfinder and on the LCD monitor before shooting. This feature can even be applied to ultra-wide-angle lenses that don't support an ND filter.
• Live Composite
Using Lighten Composite, the OM-1 can add only brighter sections to the composite image, avoiding the common issue of images that are too bright during long exposures, resulting in visually stunning Lighten Composite photos with significant variation. This feature is also compatible with image stabilisation and can be used during handheld shooting.

This next-generation mirrorless digital camera boasts a quad-division photodiode structure, enabling On-chip Phase Detection in both vertical and horizontal dimensions. With a groundbreaking 1,053-point, all cross-type, OM-1 introduces the world's first Cross Quad Pixel AF, creating a seamless focus on a diverse array of subject patterns across all pixels and the entire field of view. The camera's new TruePic X processor, combined with an advanced AF algorithm, delivers high-speed, high-precision focus on the subject, regardless of its location in the frame. Additionally, the AI Detection AF, developed using deep learning technology, provides unparalleled subject recognition and tracking, recognising formula cars, motorcycles, aeroplanes, helicopters, trains, birds, and even pets like dogs and cats. This model offers this functionality with both C-AF and S-AF, catering to a wide variety of shooting scenarios. The Face Priority/Eye Priority AF's detection precision, tracking performance, and responsiveness have been significantly enhanced. In terms of sequential shooting performance, OM-1 takes a giant leap forward, achieving up to 50 fps blackout-free AF/AE tracking at approximately 20.37 Megapixel, and up to 120 fps AF/AE locked ultra-high-speed sequential shooting. The Pro Capture mode, designed for capturing shots that are beyond the capabilities of normal shooting, provides sequential shooting up to 50 fps (AF/AE tracking) and up to 120 fps (AF/AE locked).

Its dustproof and splashproof performance is achieved through strategically placed sealing materials on the robust, lightweight magnesium alloy body, ensuring IP53 dustproof and splashproof protection class6, and freezeproof performance down to -10°C. This compact and lightweight model, with its superior dustproof and splashproof capabilities, is one of the most reliable companions for shooting in punishing environments. The OM-1 also prioritises shooting comfort with its high-performance electronic viewfinder (EVF). It combines the best qualities of an optical viewfinder with the benefits of a digital one, with approximately 5.76 million dot resolution, a viewfinder magnification of up to 1.65x, a display delay of just 0.005 seconds, and 120 fps high-speed display performance. Even in low-light situations, it allows you to easily view subjects and check exposure. The OM System OM-1 also features a completely redesigned menu screen configuration, making it more user-friendly. The menu items have been split, merged, reclassified, and simplified to make it easier to locate desired functions and adjust settings, even for first-time users.

The Olympus OM1, with its compact and lightweight design coupled with an unrivalled image stabilisation system, is excellent at steady handheld video recording. It integrates advanced video features, including ultra-smooth 4K 60p recording and the ability to capture high-speed, detailed Full HD videos at a whopping 240p. The camera is equipped to support H.264 (8bit), H.265 (10bit), and Multi-Frame Rate, allowing for extended video clips beyond 30 minutes.
The OM-1 also enables RAW data output up to 12 bit 4:4:4 to external devices, making it a handy tool for advanced post-production. The addition of OM-Log offers greater freedom over imaging expressions and effective colour grading to capture the intricate details of highlights and shadows without over- or underexposure. To enhance the video recording experience, a new HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) video picture mode has been incorporated for hassle-free HDR video recording.
