The Olympus OM System OM-1 boasts a high-end compact, lightweight body, unique to the OM System. It also includes the new 20 Megapixel1 Stacked BSI Live MOS sensor and the most recent TruePic X image processor, which operates at three times the speed of previous models. The OM-1 produces an impressive image quality that surpasses the expectations of the sensor size. The OM-1 considerably reduces the processing time for the 50 MP Handheld High Res Shot, a favourite among landscape photographers for its high-resolution image capturing prowess through image merging. The Tripod High Res Shot takes image quality a bit step further by creating ultra-high-resolution images of approximately 80 megapixels. Composite processing technology reduces noise by about two steps, delivering high pixel count images with minimal noise. A dedicated button is also included in the camera that allows you to effortlessly switch between normal shooting and Handheld High-Res Shot/Tripod High Res Shot, enhancing usability.
• Live ND: The Art of Slow Shutter Speed
Achieve the slow shutter speed effects similar to using an ND filter up to ND64 (6 steps) (ND2 - ND64). With LV Simulation activated, previsualize the slow shutter speed effects in the viewfinder and on the LCD monitor before shooting. This feature can even be applied to ultra-wide-angle lenses that don't support an ND filter.

Using Lighten Composite, the OM-1 can add only brighter sections to the composite image, avoiding the common issue of images that are too bright during long exposures, resulting in visually stunning Lighten Composite photos with significant variation. With a groundbreaking 1,053-point, all cross-type, OM-1 introduces the world's first Cross Quad Pixel AF, creating a seamless focus on a diverse array of subject patterns across all pixels and the entire field of view. The camera's new TruePic X processor, combined with an advanced AF algorithm, delivers high-speed, high-precision focus on the subject, regardless of its location in the frame.
