This Tamron 18 to 200mm VC (Type B018) features Tamron's unique and powerful VC (Vibration Compensation) and weighs just 400 grams. Tamron's acclaimed VC image stabilization allows even novice and hobby photographers to take beautiful photos over long distances, at night, and indoors. Tamron's specifically developed autofocus system makes autofocus not only faster, but quieter than its predecessor. This has great advantages when photographing and filming a wide variety of subjects. The Tamron 18-200mm VC has 16 lens elements in 14 groups and uses an LD (Low Dispersion) lens element to reduce chromatic aberration. Though light and compact and with VC, this Tamron zoom delivers great optical performance for an all-in-one lens. The 7 aperture blades create a beautiful bokeh and a beautiful star shape around light sources. This robust lens has a water resistant O-ring around the bayonet just like the Tamron SP series. In this way, the lens is protected from unexpected exposure to moisture from outside.
