Based in Loughborough, The Great Central Railway is the UK’s only double track heritage mainline Steam railway. We’re delighted to have been able to secure exclusive access to the station for this exciting event!

Attendees will have the opportunity to get some atmospheric photographs of a real steam engine at night, with a live steam locomotive together with a fleet of carriages which will be stationary in the island platform. In addition to this, there will be a team of actors dressed in 1940’s regalia to help recreate the days of steam.

The evening will be hosted by Olympus Ambassador Marcus Clackson who, as well as giving you invaluable hints and tips to get the best pictures from your Olympus camera, will be on hand to set up a selection of scenes ready for you to shoot. Having worked in the industry for over 20 years, Marcus is passionate about photography and has vast experience in location shooting, lifestyle, people and products.
