Seascape Workshop at Portland Bill

We are pleased to announce...
Seascape Workshop on Monday 13th June 2022 at 14:30 at Portland Bill, Portland DT5 2JT. Whether you shoot Fujifilm or not Carl Hare, Fujifilm’s product specialist will be bringing the latest awesome range of Fujifilm X-series cameras and lenses for you to try out on the day.
This is a limited workshop and numbers will be limited to 10 to ensure that you have sufficient attention, so book now to avoid disappointment! Workshop attendees will receive a free cleaning and photographic accessory bundle on their first purchase they make over £40 at London Camera Exchange, Portsmouth Branch only.
Parking is located at the above address it's £10 for the day, funds raised from this helps to keep the area tidy, clean and safe. This is not included in the workshop fee.
Please arrive 30 minutes early to ensure a prompt start. We should finish not long after sunset which should be about 21:30. Depending on the weather Tom may be shooting late into the night, if you wish to join him you are more than welcome to.
Tom Goss an award winning Landscape Photographer will be guiding you around Portland Bill showing you the best vantage points. He will lead you through all stages required to execute a seascape that you will be pleased with. From planning to executing the image he will demonstrate and assist and will always be at hand.
We will be focusing on long exposures so you will need:
- Interchangeable lens camera with a wide-angle lens
- A stable tripod and head
- Snacks and drinks
We will be outside so you should be dressed to suit the season and weather. I suggest you have a waterproof coat in case of rain, sunscreen and suitable walking shoes.
Items that would be ideal to bring include:
- Cable release
- ND graduated filters (with holder and adaptor rings)
- ND 'Stopper' filter- at least 6 stops or variable screw type.
- Polarising filter
Walking distance: under 5 miles
