Now in its fourth year, The British Life Photography Awards is a voice and showcase for all photographers amateur or professional. Capturing and celebrating the essence and spirit of British life, through original, illuminating, thought-provoking, humorous and poignant imagery.

Documenting daily life in Britain has been a tradition for over a century, so just like the great documentary photographers of the past (and present), we encourage photographers to elevate the commonplace and familiar into something compelling or fascinating through the craft, creativity and discipline of photography.

There are ten separate categories; Rural Life, Street Life, Life at Work, Portraiture, British Weather, Brits on Holidays, Documentary Series, Urban Life, Historic Britain and a University Award.
