The AtomOS 11 Operating System is designed specifically for the new Ninja monitor. It comes with a range of new features and an improved interface that makes it easier to use. The monitor assist functions include Focus Peaking, Zoom, Atomos and ARRI False Colour, EL Zone colorized exposure, Safe Areas, RecordAssist, PlayBackAssist, SegmentPro, and Cine Guides. The Ninja has a 5.2-inch IPS touchscreen display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a brightness of 1000 cd/m², making it perfect for viewing in bright daylight. The device features 10-bit colour processing, a Rec.709 colour gamut, and Calibrate ColorChecker Display Pro/Plus calibration support to ensure that your footage is accurately displayed in high-quality.
The Ninja is capable of displaying an extensive range of colors, supporting various log formats such as Sony, ARRI, JVC, RED, FUJIFILM, Nikon, Panasonic, and Canon. You can even upload your own custom 3D LUTs to the monitor, and output HDR conversion to Log, HLG, PQ, or Dolby Vision formats.
The Ninja comes equipped with HDMI input and output ports that allow for monitoring, recording, and playback modes with DCI 4K video at 60 fps. Additionally, select cameras can support 3.5K RAW footage at 60 fps. The Ninja is compatible with over 55 different cameras that can record RAW footage over HDMI, with support for up to 6K at 30 fps.
The Ninja is capable of functioning as a standalone system that can capture UHD 4K, HDR, and high frame rate gaming footage. You can easily record, monitor, and review your gameplay for sharing on YouTube or other platforms.
Optional Atomos CONNECT Module
The Ninja monitor can be used with the Atomos CONNECT module to access Atomos Cloud Studio and cloud workflows such as C2C, Atomos Edit, and Atomos RemoteView. With the CONNECT module, you can enjoy 12G-SDI connectivity, AirGlu wireless timecode and control, Wi-Fi 6, and GigE Ethernet on your monitor interface. This makes it possible to transmit video signals to live streaming platforms through NDI, as well as to custom RTMP/S destinations. Additionally, you can convert HDMI to SDI and SDI to HDMI video using the CONNECT module.
AtomX Cast
Transform your Ninja into a compact and fully featured production studio with the AtomX CAST. It allows advanced multi-input switching from up to four 1080p HDMI sources, adding graphic overlays and enhancing web conferencing and live streaming with a USB UVC webcam output.
SSD Recording
The Ninja can be used with Atomos Master Caddy II and Master Caddy III 2.5" hard drives for direct recording. Additionally, you can use compact AtomX SSDmini drives and CFAST II cards with a separate adapter.
Power Options
The back of the Ninja has an L-series battery plate that can handle NP-F L-series batteries with an output of 5.8 to 7.2V. Additionally, there is a USB-C port that supports 30W PD power delivery with the included cable. To power the monitor via DC power sources, use the included dummy eliminator.
