The Canon RF 35mm f/1.8 Macro IS STM is a compact and lightweight wide-angle prime lens that seamlessly combines the versatility of a general wide lens with the specialised capabilities of a 1:2 macro optic. Its advanced optical design is enhanced by a Super Spectra coating, which controls flare and ghosting to ensure greater contrast and colour accuracy, especially in bright or backlit conditions. With the ability to focus down to just 6.7 inches at half life-size, this lens excels in capturing close-ups of plants, street scenes, and landscapes.

The bright f/1.8 maximum aperture provides excellent control over depth of field and performs well in various lighting situations. The lens also features a five-stop effective image stabiliser that reduces camera shake, enabling sharper handheld shots. The STM motor ensures fast, quiet, and smooth autofocus, which is ideal for both still photography and video recording, and offers full-time manual focus override.
